OPEN RP 2.0

Now that I have your attention, this is my new open RP post! Mostly because my old one was getting a little crowded and I want to play ALL THE MASSIVELY COOL PEOPLE on my muse list who I keep not playing/not even giving userpics. So this is the ~experimental zone~ where I try new people and new things.

SO! Here's how it works.

1. Pick one of your characters.
2. Post a comment with an image or a gif or a poem or nothing at all idgaf make me do all the work without inspiration if you want.
3. Put the name of one of my characters or tell me it's my choice.
4. I will respond both with the character of your choice and with someone COMPLETELY NEW AND UNEXPECTED because seriously it's ridiculous how many of these people I haven't used.
5. FUN WILL BE HAD.

Now go forth! Comment! I may be slow as balls on some of these people BUT I WILL PLOD AHEAD. AND EVEN GIVE THEM USERPICS AND SHIT. JUST WATCH ME.

[She's a bit younger than Harry's usual clientele, but she's got money, and Harry needs it. Plus, she's a young girl who needs his help. Harry's always had what he'd refer to as a chivalry and what Murphy'd refer to as chauvinism. Whatever it was, it made it hard for him to say no when a girl asked for his help.

Which was too bad, because he was pretty sure this girl a few cards short of a full deck.]

You want me to find a way to Neverland. You mean with Peter Pan and Captain Hook and all that? [The Nevernever is easy enough for him to get to. But he's pretty sure that's not what the girl is looking for.]

[personal profile] thedarling 2013-01-08 05:00 am (UTC)(link)
[There's a sigh, she feels like she is forever explaining this in order to get help. The upside is she's yet to get properly sectioned because she's gotten very good at scarpering before anyone can keep a hold of her.

The downside is she's not in Neverland. Because no one believes her.]

He's not actually called Peter Pan, you know, that was creative license at work. But yes, that Neverland.

[Okay, he can buy that. Some entity in green pajamas flying around a corner of the Nevernever it calls Neverland. This girl had been, somehow escaped, and now she wants to go back. It wouldn't be the first time he's heard of such a thing. This girl is just determined enough to seek out Chicago's only professional wizard.]

Look, for what it's worth, I believe you. That doesn't mean I'm gonna help you.

[Wendy's mouth falls open. What? No, what? What even? Really?]

...what! Why not?

Because a kid like you shouldn't be getting involved in all that. I don't know what this "Peter Pan" guy is, but believe me, he isn't trying to get you over there to play house.

[personal profile] thedarling 2013-01-08 07:19 am (UTC)(link)
My name, sir, is Wendy Darling. Not because I am named after the girl in the play, but because I am, in fact, the girl in the bloody play.

[She frowns just slightly, while it's admirable that he's attempting to look out for her, it's not entirely helpful.]

[Woah. He'd assumed that it wasn't her real name. A lot of people gave him pseudonyms, either because they were afraid he would use it to do magic to them or because they didn't want it getting out that they'd been to see a wizard.]

...how long were you there? [Time moves differently in the Nevernever. He wouldn't be at all surprised to hear that it had been much, much longer on this side.]

[personal profile] thedarling 2013-01-08 09:07 pm (UTC)(link)
A while.

[She feels a bit bad about her rudeness now and a little confused that, once again, he believes her. It happens so rarely that she can't quite get a handle on it.]

Don't exactly have calendars there and never growing up, sort of um, skews one's sense of time.

[And then there is the whole being affected by the curse and not aging -- again! -- for an absurd amount of time when she was in the real world. After she had been in it for a while. She had no idea how magic worked though, so she had never tried too hard to figure it out, maybe she just wasn't meant to get any older. She doesn't feel any older than her apparent twenty something years, but she knows she's been alive for much longer than that. It's all very headache making.]

[Sounds like the Nevernever.] Did this... non-Peter Pan tell you what he is?

[personal profile] thedarling 2013-01-08 10:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Annoying, self-centered, immature, selfish, cocky to no end? ...he's just a regular boy. 'cept he doesn't have to grow up.

[personal profile] professionalwizard 2013-01-09 10:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Right. [Not helpful.] Have you had any communications with him since leaving... [Did he have to say it? He had to say it.] Neverland?

[personal profile] thedarling 2013-01-10 01:42 am (UTC)(link)
[Wendy might need to do a bit more growing up herself, actually.

She frowns at the question, she doesn't much like the answer.]

No. Not exactly easy to post mail to a place that doesn't really exist 'round here.

There are other ways. Most likely from his end. Dream messages are pretty common.

[personal profile] thedarling 2013-01-11 06:19 am (UTC)(link)
Which would imply he had the inclination to send me a message.

[She's laughing on the inside. On the outside, she's rather bland.]

[He eyes her over his desk, frowning at her.] It's not uncommon after an experience like that to want to return. Entities like that... they're bewitching, and I mean that literally. I'd give up before you get hurt.

[personal profile] thedarling 2013-01-16 01:13 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, that's not gonna happen.

[Still, she's not going to beg for help from someone who doesn't want to give it, so she pushes herself standing, adjusts her skirt and brushes her hair back from her face like its not a big deal.]

For the record, I don't care about Neverland. But he's my best friend. And he's a moron, he needs someone to watch out for him. Thanks for believing me though, that's a first.

[Harry shrugs.] Trust me, it's not the weirdest thing I've heard this week. One of the perks to being a wizard.

[personal profile] thedarling 2013-02-02 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
Rubbish perk. Pet unicorn woulda been better.

[Tiniest smile, she does appreciate his listen to her. Doesn't appreciate not getting any help, but listening is a sight better than laughter.]

Thanks again. Toodles.

[And she'll be off now. To... try again probably. Sigh.]
