how to play.

1. Drop a comment with one or more of your muses. It can be empty if you want me to make a scenario, or you can toss one at me. If you want to just give me a prompt (a word, song, lyric, picture, phrase, anything), I can riff off that too. I make no promises for logic, especially if I don't know the canon.

2. In the subject line, you can specify any of my muses you might want to play with, or you can ask me to pick someone. No muses are off-limits! If the character has no icons yet, I will find icons. Or you can make me pick.

3. just rp with me. if something jives really well, maybe we can continue it in another one of these later, sort of like a super casual verse. if it doesn't, it doesn't.

[Anya reads tabloids. As a vengeance demon, it's important to keep up to date on celebrity gossip. That's how Halfrek got that big Beatles blow-up and Anya has just been waiting for her shot. This Selina and Bruce break-up may be just what she needs to get her next big vengeance wish.

She takes a seat next to Selina in a bar and glances over at her.] You look troubled.

[purrfectheist]

[ selina's well aware that she's the talk of the town, but the woman doesn't seem to greet her with recognition. ]

I suppose I'll have to work on my poker face.

[exdemon]

Oh, don't worry about it, I'm troubled too. Stupid, stupid men. [Not that Anya's marriage-failure is the point, here. She's only bringing it up to try and point Selina in the right direction.]

[purrfectheist]

They're hardly worth our time, are they? [ there's at least a little admission there, in her bitterness ] And yet... they manage to steal it nevertheless.

[exdemon]

They tell you they love you and they want to be with you, but they don't. They... chicken out at the worst possible time!

[purrfectheist]

Or they have something else on their plate.

[exdemon]

And here I--we are, supposed to be the biggest thing on their plate! That's what a relationship's all about! Putting the other person first!

[purrfectheist]

[ she scoffs at that. ] In this world, the only way to get ahead is to put yourself first. It's foolish to expect anything different from anyone else.

[exdemon]

But if they claim to love you... [Oh, wait, she's supposed to be working.] It just... makes me wish sometimes.

[purrfectheist]

Wish what?

[exdemon]

Oh... things. [She glances up at Selina.] Don't you ever wish for bad things to happen to the men in your life?

[purrfectheist]

Generally, I don't have to wish for it. They tend to throw themselves into foolish scenarios all by themselves.

[exdemon]

Yes, that's because they're men. We can't expect much intelligence from them.

[purrfectheist]

I usually don't. I don't know what got into me.

[exdemon]

[Anya sighs wistfully. She knows the feeling.] Some of them are excellent liars.

They think they are.
