Hi Yuletide Friend!!
First of all, hello, you have great taste in books if you got me, and I'm very excited to see what you cook up!!
My DNWs are the same for all of them: The main thing is I really do NOT want Christmas fic though other winter festivals are okay. I also would rather avoid hopeless endings. A little sad or melancholy is okay, but look the world is awful enough without my fiction also being upsetting. Some of these fandoms (Newsflesh) have a lot of upsetting things in them!! I'm okay with those being referenced/dealt with, I just don't want to leave the fic feeling like everything is awful forever. Also absolutely no pet death please. Especially cats. And generally no graphic gore.
I like found family (especially when queer) and especially large, strange families doing things like awkwardly having brunch together. I also like characters getting therapy, like, please, we all know you need it, please talk to someone about your problems. Get better. (In general into characters healing from their trauma). I like characters interacting that we don't see interact much in canon, or POVs that we don't see in canon. I like characters put in stupid situations. I also enjoy smut! Generally in favor of bondage, light impact play, pegging, and queer vibes even when it's an m/f pairing. Not in favor of anything permanently harmful, bathroom-related, or nonconsensual.
Onto the specifics!!
Newsflesh - Georgia Mason, Shaun Mason
Will I ever get over these two probably not and I'm very okay with it. I like everything with them–pre-series adventures in being baby journalists, post-series adventures in being in Canada and traumatized but slowly healing. AUs where they're cowboy journalists or space journalists or fucking inventing the printing press just to become journalists.
Also I have dreamed of a George pegging Shaun fic for about three thousand years, js, if you're in a smut-writing mood, I would love that.
A Chorus of Dragons - Janel Theranon, Kihrin D'Mon, Teraeth
Disaster trio!! I'm especially into post-series exploration of their relationship as it develops (and even though I didn't select him specifically Thurvishar reluctantly fourth wheeling is always welcome. As is Senera fifth wheeling. Or really ANYONE from this series. I'd love to see them as triple-parents continuing to make trouble. This is a lovely opportunity for horribly awkward family brunch situations too considering how INSANE the family tree is.
Smut-wise this is a great situation for the awkward parts of negotiating threesome relationships and I am SO HERE for awkward threesome negotiation.
London Highwaymen - Marian Hayes, Rob Brooks
Look, I didn't plan for all my prompts to be "this would be a good ship for pegging" but apparently that's just my ship aesthetic right now. But for real, I just!! Love the two of them so much!! I appreciate their chaotic bisexual crime energy and would like to see more of it, especially with their extended family/chosen family and friends.
Last Binding - Adelaide Morrisey
First of all, I've read the third book (advance copy ftw) so don't worry about spoiling me!! If you've also read it, I'd love anything that happens post-book 3 and the events that occur within. Being vague so I don't spoil but you'll probably be able to guess what I mean if/when you read it. Alternatively, I lust love Adelaide and want more of her!! No smut/romantic stuff for this one please but scenes of her with her sister or with any of the other characters or just generally being awesome and competent are A+++
ALSO I GUESS I PUT MAUDE IN HERE TOO I was going back and forth with prompts and forgot where things were when sign ups actually ended. I would definitely enjoy Maude and Adelaide bonding!! But going with one or the other is good too.
